The fourth edition of Food Venture Sweden will be held in Gothenburg 14–15 May 2019.

We invite Swedish food entrepreneurs together with local and global industry experts, investors and business angels. Over two days you will network with 30 of the most promising and innovative Swedish startups with products, services or technologies related to the food industry. We will offer networking opportunities, matchmaking with pre-booked meetings and lots knowledge about needs and interest from the industry, venture organisations and business angels.

The event is hosted by RISE and The Food Accelerator and  co-organized by Business Region GöteborgLivsmedelsföretagen (The Swedish Food Federation) and GU Ventures. The event was formerly named Food Venture & Partnering Days - same content, new name.

  • Swedish startups and early-stage, high-potential companies in the food industry, with 0–10 employees, and with a unique and scalable business idea

  • National and international investors, angel investors and venture capital firms

A Silicon Vikings and Startup Worldcup representative will be present and watch your pitches in order to identify networking possibilities within the Silicon Vikings network..



At Food Venture Sweden 14-15 May

Up to 3 consultancy checks from RISE will be available for tech/research collaboration projects between startup-industry/investors. Each check worth
10 000 kr.

A representative from Front Law will attend, and will be available for conversations regarding startup law during breaks and lunch.



Communication consultancy check from Nowa Kommunikation, worth
50 000 kr.

Information regarding European Food Venture Forum (EFVF) and possibly also a representative present to scout for interesting startups for participation at the European event.

Business Sweden (more details to come)

The winner of the Bird & Bird prize – “Best Startup” will be awarded a free consultancy occasion with Bird & Bird law firm.
 



Livsmedelsföreningen will select 3-6 startups during the Food Venture-event that will be given the opportunity to pitch their ideas at Livsmedelsdagarna in September 2019, in front of 350 food industry representatives http://livsmedel.se/livsmedelsdagarna/

How it Works

1. Register

Register online and submit your own cooperation profile and your collaboration wishes. You can change your profile any time. Your profile will be open for everyone to see, and will be printed in the event folder.

This is your presentation towards the other participants.

2. Book Meetings

Browse the participant list and book one-on-one meetings with persons of your interest, from the promising startups and potential partners, experts and investors you’re looking to meet.

Each one-on-one meeting is 30 minutes.

3. Pitch Training Day

All startups are invited to a free pitch training day, prior to the main event. Experts and coaches will be available to help you sharpening your performance before the main event.

The pitch training is held on February 21th, 2019

4. Main event 14–15 May

Industry/investor presentations, startup pitches, pre-booked one-on-one meetings, inspiration. Grow your network, meet potential partners, supporters, corporate, investors and learn from experts.

Food Venture Sweden is an event arranged by Livsmedelsacceleratorn (The Food Accelerator) at RISE with funding from Västra Götalandsregionen and Vinnova, co-organized by Business Region Göteborg, Livsmedelsföretagen (The Swedish Food Federation) and GU Ventures.

Livsmedelsacceleratorn operates from RISE Research institutes of Sweden, the unit for Agrifood and Bioscience, with the mission to support companies, researchers and entrepreneurs and their innovation processes.
